this is strange, but there is this kind of grief that continues to live after the life you knew has already ended.
you still remember people, places, promises, and the version of yourself that existed beside them, even when non of it belongs to your present anymore. the hardest part is not always losing someone, its sometimes knowing that what meant everything to you can become something only you can STILL carry. Peter understands that kind of loss better than most of it, he knows that going forward is not about getting the old life back, but it is learning how to carry what happened without allowing it to decide what happens next x
