Design & development

problem
Many music players rely on streaming services or cloud accounts, limiting user control over their local music libraries, data, and customization options. Users seek a private, offline-first experience with full ownership.
process
Developed as an offline-first desktop application using Tauri, React, and Rust. The architecture emphasizes local file ownership, privacy, and extensive customization, including a theme studio, DSP controls, and a robust audio engine built with Symphonia and cpal.
result
The MVP is complete, delivering a full-featured desktop music player. Users can import local music, browse libraries, enjoy customizable playback with DSP effects, manage lyrics, create playlists, and personalize the interface with a comprehensive theme studio.
